Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FormaTransfer (“the App”), provided by 3DTech Parametric Sdn. Bhd. (“3DTech”, “we”, “us”), accesses, uses, stores, protects and shares information when you use the App. It covers data from Google APIs, Autodesk Platform Services and Microsoft Graph.

1. How the App runs

FormaTransfer is installed and operated by your organization on a computer or server it controls. The App connects directly from that installation to Autodesk, Google and Microsoft. 3DTech does not operate a cloud service that receives, stores or processes your Google user data or project data.

2. Google user data we access

The App only accesses Google user data if you choose Google Drive as a destination and sign in with Google. It requests these scopes:

Google user data is used only to provide the features you request:

• Email address: to show which Google account is connected and to label your saved connections.
• Drive and folder listings: to show a folder browser so you can pick a destination folder, and to check whether a folder or file already exists before creating it.
• Creating and writing files: to create the project folder structure and upload the files, records, summaries and registers exported from Autodesk Forma.
• Updating files: to replace the content of a file the App previously created in your selected destination, when you run or authorize an update that mirrors a change in the Forma project. The App does not delete files in your Drive.
• File metadata and checksums: to verify that each upload completed correctly and to detect changes.

The App does not open, read or analyze the content of Drive files it did not create, and does not access files outside the folders you select.

4. What we do not do with Google user data

• We do not sell Google user data.
• We do not use or transfer Google user data for advertising, including personalized, retargeted or interest-based advertising.
• We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
• No person at 3DTech reads your Google user data, unless you give us explicit permission for a specific support request, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or it is required to comply with applicable law.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties, except as needed to provide the features described here, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.

5. Other data the App processes

• Autodesk Forma data: project names, files, folders, RFIs, Submittals, Forms and related user and company names, accessed through your Autodesk sign-in, to copy them to your destination.
• Microsoft SharePoint data: when SharePoint is your destination, the App uses your Microsoft sign-in (Microsoft Graph) to read your name and email address, list the sites, libraries and folders you can access so you can choose a destination, create folders and upload exported files there, and create and update SharePoint lists that hold the RFI, Submittal and Forms registers. Microsoft sign-in tokens are stored and protected in the same way as Google tokens (section 6), and the same disconnect and deletion options apply.
• Notification recipients: email addresses you enter to receive import summary emails. These emails are sent through the mail server your organization configures.

6. Storage and security

• Sign-in refresh tokens are stored only on your organization’s installation, encrypted at rest (on Windows, the encryption key is further protected by Windows Data Protection). Access tokens are kept in memory and expire automatically.
• The App stores transfer records locally: Drive file and folder IDs, names, paths, sizes and checksums, and the results of each run. It does not store copies of your Drive files beyond temporary files used during an upload.
• All connections to Google, Autodesk and Microsoft use HTTPS (TLS).
• The App never writes tokens, authorization codes or upload session URLs to its logs.

7. Sharing and disclosure

Data moves only between your installation and the services you connect (Autodesk, Google Drive, SharePoint, and your mail server for summaries). 3DTech does not receive it. We disclose information only if required by law or with your explicit consent.

8. Retention and deletion

• Disconnect Google Drive: sign out of Google in the App to delete the stored Google token from your installation.
• Revoke access: remove FormaTransfer at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The App then can no longer access your Drive.
• Delete local records: delete a saved connection in the App, or uninstall the App and delete its data folder, to remove transfer records and tokens.
• Files the App exported to your Drive belong to you and stay in your Drive until you delete them.

Tokens and records are kept only while a connection exists. If you need help deleting data, contact us below and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you are, including under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the EU/UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. Because the App stores data on your organization’s installation, your organization’s administrator can usually act on these requests directly. You can also contact us.

10. Children

The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will ask for your consent before applying it.
